Automotive Basket Prototype – SLA 3D Printing & Insert Moulding
Project type
3D Printing Automotive
Date
Dec 2025
Location
Manesar
We developed a functional, test-ready prototype of an audio speaker basket for an esteemed automotive client using high-precision SLA (Stereolithography) 3D printing technology. The project focused on achieving high dimensional accuracy, structural stability, and acoustic-component fitment fidelity to support real-world validation and integration testing.
A key technical challenge was the precise integration of multiple metal inserts required for mounting, grounding, and structural reinforcement. Our team executed controlled insert moulding to embed these metal components at exact locations within the 3D printed basket while maintaining tight positional tolerances, mechanical strength, and assembly integrity. This ensured the prototype closely replicated the production-intent design in both form and function.
Post-printing, the basket underwent structured post-processing, UV curing, and surface refinement to meet mechanical, thermal, and assembly-readiness requirements. The final prototype was delivered within tight development timelines and successfully met all client benchmarks for functional testing and evaluation.
This project highlights our capabilities in SLA-based functional prototyping, insert integration, and high-precision component development for automotive audio and advanced engineering applications.
